HKN Elections
21st April, 6pm - 7pm, 165 Everitt Lab Well everyone, its that time of year again. The sun is coming out, and its time to elect a new executive board.
The Elections are Tuesday, April 21, at 6 pm, in rm 165 EL.
Any initiate or member can run for a board position, with the exception of the positions of President and Vice President, which must be former board members. If you would like to run for a position, please inform me at

by 11:59 pm, Monday (Tonight!). Any powerpoint presentations are due at this time. Any member/initiate can run for up to 3 positions. Also, if there are any open positions during the elections, when we come to that position, anyone can then decide to run for it. Again, this only applies if no one is running for the position.
Election attendance is mandatory for initiates - but you do get 1 point, and free pizza.

Initiate T-Shirt Design - Deadline ExtendedDue Wednesday, April 22nd by midnight Are you capable of drawing stick figures? Then you're perfect to design this semester's initiate class t-shirt! All the new initiates will receive one of these shirts so it's in all the initiates' interests to have an awesome one. Colonial Room of the Illini Union Come congratulate our new initiates on their accomplishments.They have worked extremely hard to put together successful events and grow through their HKN experiences. This is a great opportunity if you'd like to run for next semester's exec board or even if you're just interested in listening! 1 point per meeting Flag Football PracticeFriday, April 24th at 3PM In preparation for our win over IEEE, come join us for practice this Friday, April 24th at 3PM on the Bardeen Quad. You don't have to be good - that's what the practice is for. Even if it's just a way to spend the time before happy hour, or for you initiates to earn 1 point, come. 1 point Etiquette Dinner with Alpha Omega EpsilonMonday, April 27th at 6PM, Illini Union rm 209 Professor Madigan will be instructing participants on proper business dinner etiquette over a three course meal at the Union. HKN Broomball TournamentApril 25, Ice Arena, 8pm-close Come and join us on the ice for our very own broomball tournament! Sign-ups are $30 per team and $8 for free agents. Great Prizes to win! It is going to be held right outside of Everitt, next to Engineering Hall from 10am - 2pm. Points to initiates for volunteering at the BBQ HKN Ultimate Frisbee TournamentApril 25, 1pm to 5pm Come enjoy some ultimate frisbee action on April 25th. It is a great venue to have your voice heard and it is an opportunity to gain further knowledge of the organization. Meetings will now be held on Wednesdays at 7pm in the HKN Office (243 Everitt). All initiates and members are welcome. Joining the Vision Committee and participating (by attending at least 4 meetings and helping to support new ideas) will earn you 5 initiation points!
