Once initiated, HKN members will retain lifelong membership. Here at UIUC, we have provided additional benefits for those members who wish stay active within the organization after initiation. By meeting the requirements for active membership, HKN members can receive the title of Active Member. Click the link for more details on how to stay active within HKN.
How to Be Considered Active
- If you were an initiate last semester, you are considered active
- If you were involved last semester, you are considered active
- If you were NOT involved last semester, once you fulfill the requirements listed below, you will become active
- Active membership is retained for a semester after you become active
Active Membership Requirements
- Maintain account on the HKN ETS
- Fulfill 5 hours of events OR hold an office hour for the duration of the semester
Active Membership Benefits
- HKN Resume book given to companies includes only active members’ resumes
- Discount cards
- Priority sign-up for events (e.g. Evening With Industry)
