Fulfilling point requirements
Pertains to: Initiates, Active Members Each initiate is required to fulfill a 15-point commitment as part of their initiation requirements. While this may seem like a lot to busy ECE students, in fact, many initiates have well over this minimum requirement every semester. Here are ways to get your points and fulfill your requirements: Attend events There are usually several opportunities to obtain points each week throughout the semester, these events and their point values are listed on ETS. Go to ETS and click on “Event Signup” on the left navigation bar. Listed should be past and upcoming events for the semester, their date and times, locations, and their point values. Organize an HKN event Initiates are all required to plan an event as part of their initiation. But did you know that you could help plan an additional event for points? ), if you have an event idea that you feel deserves attention. Propose an event addition The HKN initiation process is meant to help build positive character and your leadership skills. While many of our own events are designed for this purpose, we recognize that there are other events and activities that also fulfill this goal.
